Proud to Support the Next Generation of Women in Rugby

Written by tech

October 1, 2025

When England’s Red Roses lifted the Rugby World Cup, the victory went far beyond the trophy itself. It was a defining moment for women’s sport, proof of what’s possible when talent is nurtured, supported, and given a platform. It signalled a turning point in a game traditionally dominated by men, inspiring a new generation to believe rugby is a sport for everyone.

At Insight Consulting Services (ICS), we see the same challenge in the sectors we serve; procurement, estates, digital, and construction where women are underrepresented, and we’re keen to make a difference. Our mission is to support more women to progress and thrive, creating a more balanced future.

That’s why we’re proud to be backing Isobel McDonald, a talented rugby player currently completing her PGCE year. With the pressures of full-time, unpaid placement work, playing rugby this season simply wouldn’t have been possible without sponsorship. This support helps cover essentials like subs and kit, enabling her to continue playing for Old Northamptonians RFC, and welcoming more females into rugby each season.

For Isobel, being able to play rugby is more than just the game ahead, it’s about health, community, and creating opportunities for women of all ages. Isobel’s journey shows how rugby can build connection, community, opportunity and a platform for inspiring the next generation.

How You Can Get Involved

The Red Roses’ triumph has put women’s rugby firmly in the spotlight, but grassroots players still need local support to keep the game growing. Clubs across the country rely on sponsorship to provide kit, cover match fees, and create opportunities for more women and girls to get involved.

If, like us, you’re inspired to see more women thriving in sport, why not explore sponsorship opportunities near you? Your support could make all the difference to a player or team in your community.

➡️ In our next feature, we’ll share an exclusive Q&A with Isobel, where she talks about her journey through playing tennis and football at a regional level, her transition to rugby; her proudest moments on the pitch; and why rugby is more than just a game, it’s a family.
